The whole golf course property, not just the clubhouse, is licenced by the Alcohol & Gaming Commission of Ontario. This means that it is illegal for golfers to bring or consume their own beer or liquor on the course or parking lot. We enforce this regulation to protect our liquor licence, and any player found with his or her own alcohol may be asked to leave the property without any compensation or refund.
At South Muskoka, we take the health and safety of our guests and members very seriously. In years past, we supplied complimentary drinking water from several coolers located throughout the course. Unfortunately, this became a very risky proposition, with incidents of illness from contamination of water, at other courses. The risk of contamination in our coolers was low, but the consequences of a failure too serious for us to ignore. Since May 2003, we no longer supply water from coolers, and we have reduced the price of bottled spring water by 50 per cent.
Municipal water is available in the clubhouse, and at holes 6 & 12, free of charge.
Our club features a convenient fully-stocked "half-way house" which is located at the 6th & 12th tees, and is open daily from 11:00 a.m.. We provide beverage service, snack foods, sandwiches, and great jumbo hot dogs hot off the roller. There is also an outdoor pop vending machine which is accessible at all times of day.
The clubhouse itself is located between the 9th and 10th holes. During most tournaments and some days of heavy traffic, a roving beverage cart is also on the course to meet all players' needs. No service is provided on holes near the clubhouse.
Should you encounter any problem obtaining on-course service, please speak to a player assistant, who will communicate with the clubhouse and help arrange a solution as quickly as possible.
All transactions at our on-course outlets are cash only - no tabs or card transactions. Prior to your tee time you may obtain cash at the clubhouse bar using either your debit or credit card.
