Jacklynn Miller

Director of Golf & Curling
Like many golf professionals, Jacklynn started playing golf at an early age. She graduated Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 2007 after receiving a 4-year golf scholarship. Jacklynn then went on to play professionally for 2 years before taking on the job as Assistant Golf Professional at North Bay Golf and Country Club. Her first professional win came in Alberta, shooting a 70, where she also became the first female to have won a PGA of Alberta event with men in the field. After a brief stint of working in Alberta, where she also won the Ladies Division Order of Merit Points, she returned to Muskoka to work at Muskoka Bay Golf Club. In 2017, Jacklynn won the Stan Leonard Class A Professional of the Year and was later promoted to Head Golf Professional. Jacklynn loves teaching golf and growing the game with beginners and is currently in her fourth season at South Muskoka.

Matteo Nobile

Associate Golf Professional
A proud Muskoka native, Matteo was raised in Huntsville and developed a deep appreciation for sport at an early age. It was during his teenage years that he discovered a true passion for golf—one that quickly evolved into a professional pursuit. Matteo is a graduate of Bishop’s University, where he earned a degree in Sports Management in 2021. Following his studies, he began his career in the golf industry as an Assistant Professional at Grandview Golf Club. After successfully completing his Playing Ability Test, Matteo became a member of the PGA of Canada. He then went on to assume a leadership position at Deerhurst Resort, where he was instrumental in rebuilding and managing their golf academy. During this time, he gained extensive experience coaching golfers of all ages and skill levels. Matteo brings with him a strong belief in the power of connection through the game of golf. He is committed to supporting each individual golfer—whether a beginner or an experienced player—in their pursuit of growth, enjoyment, and purpose within the game.

Ethan Crossett

Assistant Golf Professional
Ethan Crossett – Teaching Professional, South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club Ethan Crossett’s passion for golf began in his hometown of Oakville, where he got his start as a junior and has been hooked on the game ever since. After moving to Muskoka in 2015, Ethan became actively involved with South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club, first competing on the Pepsi Tour and then joining the backshop team in 2016. Ethan continued to build his foundation in the golf industry by enrolling in the Golf Management program at Fanshawe College, graduating in 2023. The following summer, he turned professional, officially beginning his career as a teaching pro. Now in his ninth year at South Muskoka, Ethan is excited to be giving back to the club that helped shape his journey. In addition to his work at SMCGC, he spends his winters at the prestigious Te Arai Links Golf Resort in New Zealand, just north of Auckland—gaining global experience at one of the world’s premier golf destinations. With nearly a decade of involvement at South and a genuine love for the game, Ethan brings a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and approachability to his teaching. He is passionate about helping golfers of all ages and skill levels improve and enjoy their time on the course.

Jason Stevenson

Assistant Golf Professional
Born and raised in Muskoka, Jason Stevenson has deep roots in the local golfing community. His journey in golf began at South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club, where he joined the junior program in 2009. With a passion for the game and a strong work ethic, Jason quickly developed his skills, culminating in earning his PGA of Canada status after successfully passing his Playing Ability Test in London last year during his first season at the club. Jason is a 2017 graduate of Niagara College, where he studied Professional Golf Management. His education, combined with hands-on experience, has equipped him with the technical knowledge and instructional skills needed to guide golfers of all levels. Now in his second season as a professional at South Muskoka, Jason has come full circle—returning to the same junior program that first sparked his love for golf. He is thrilled to be teaching and mentoring young golfers, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm to help beginners discover and grow within the game. Jason is committed to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for all junior players, continuing South Muskoka's tradition of developing talent and community through the sport.
